Toby Rodgers

Toby Rodgers is a hydrologist and soil scientist with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), where he serves as Washington’s Water Supply Specialist. Over more than 25 years with NRCS, he has mapped soils and studied landscapes across the Pacific Northwest, including the Pasayten and Sawtooth Wilderness areas, North Cascades, Mount Rainier, Olympic National Park, and the San Juan Islands. His work has also taken him throughout Washington as the state’s National Resources Inventory Coordinator. Today, Toby combines his expertise in geology, soils, hydrology, and mountain snowpack through the USDA-NRCS Snow Survey Program, helping monitor the snow and water resources that sustain the region’s rivers, ecosystems, and communities.
