David Boye

David Boye is a full time musician, songwriter and educator. He has crisscrossed many musical paths and styles in his 30-plus years as a guitarist. Recently he returned to one of his first music loves, solo fingerstyle acoustic guitar. His compositions are expressive original pieces with a special focus on nature inspired instrumental music.

David was accepted as an Artist in Residence at North Cascades National Park in 2008, his first of several residencies that began a personal passion of exploring and creating music that evokes the infinite wonders of the wilderness of the National Parks.

Incorporating recordings of found sounds from his residencies, his CDs are evocative and uplifting collections that elicit the calm splendor of the wide open spaces of the great American outdoors. He tours annually, presenting concerts in National Parks and Monuments throughout the country, teaches guitar as an adjunct college professor, and maintains a full student load of private lessons in his home town of Lincoln, Nebraska.
