Bill Gaines

Bill Gaines, is a Wildlife Ecologist and Director of the Washington Conservation Science Institute. He has been involved in wildlife research and conservation for the past three decades. He has conducted a number of research projects on bears, and other large carnivores, working both internationally and locally. Bill has been involved in efforts to study and restore carnivore populations, including the grizzly bear, in the North Cascades. He resides in Leavenworth with his wife Susan and daughter Emily.
