Chris Byrd

Chris Byrd has been studying natural history along the West Coast for almost two decades and is currently a PhD candidate in Environmental Studies/Conservation Biology at Antioch University New England. He is interested in all aspects of our natural heritage with a special interest in mammals, birds, weather and aquatic systems. He holds a Professional Tracker Certification and has taught for several institutions in the Pacific Northwest including Alderleaf Wilderness College, Bastyr, and Western Washington University. He has also assisted in collecting data on pine squirrel hybridization in the North Cascades for Ohio State University.
