Founded in 1986, North Cascades Institute is a nationally recognized environmental education nonprofit that connects people of all ages and backgrounds with the natural world. Through hands-on education, outdoor adventures, and meaningful experiences in nature, we help people explore, enjoy, and better understand the mountains, rivers, forests, wildlife, and communities of the Pacific Northwest—and inspire them to care for and protect these special places.
Our Mission
Our mission is to inspire environmental stewardship through transformative learning experiences in the North Cascades bioregion.
