Mari Schramm
Mari Schramm was born and raised near Chelan on the eastside of Washington’s Cascade Range, where she witnessed the effects of wildfire on the human and ecological communities throughout her childhood. In college she studied Biology with a specific focus on fire ecology in the Cascade Mountains. She spent 5 seasons doing research on post-fire vegetation recovery with the US Forest Service and affiliated research teams before beginning her career as an environmental educator. Mari has lived and worked at the Environmental Learning Center for the past 3.5 years as an instructor and coordinator for Mountain School and Family Getaways. She is excited to join you to explore the complex human and ecological relationships that wildfire ignites.
