Christian Murillo

Christian Murillo is a professional photographer and environmental storyteller based in Bend, Oregon.  His work has taken him from the tallest peaks in South America, to the underwater passages of the Skagit River. 

In 2023, he published Soul of the Skagit, a coffee table book that encapsulated a 3+ year project in the Skagit Valley, seeking to understand what makes this river so special, but also so divisive. 

Over the past seven years, Murillo has worked with publications including National Geographic, Backpacker Magazine and 1859 Magazine to tell stories about the natural world.
