Sara Shimazu

Sara has been watching, photographing, and identifying whales since she was a little girl. Having grown up in the Salish Sea, her love of whales can only be matched by her love of teaching people about them. In addition to being a marine naturalist and captain in the San Juan Islands, Sara also works overseas in Australia, collecting behavioral data on the killer whales of the Bremer Canyon.
