Dave Tucker

dave_tuckerDave Tucker researches volcanic stratigraphy in the North Cascades. For his Masters thesis, he mapped the Hannegan caldera and associated rocks, in the Ruth Mountain- Copper Ridge area. He is currently studying the Holocene eruptive history of Mt. Baker, in particular the 1843 ash deposits and the 9,500-year old Sulphur Creek lava flow, and will begin a geologic mapping project of volcanic rocks near Ross Lake. A resident of Bellingham, retired mountaineering guide and instructor at Western Washington University, Dave has done geologic field mapping in both Morovitz Meadows and the Lake Ann area.
