Have you ever come across a set of tracks in the wild and paused—wondering who passed through, what they were doing, and where they were headed next? A single print can hold a story. With a trained eye, the ground becomes a living record of movement, behavior, and relationship within the landscape.

Some conditions—like fresh snow or soft mud—make those stories easy to read. Others ask more of us, requiring patience and attention to the faintest impressions: a disturbed leaf, a broken twig, a subtle shift in pattern.

This introductory course focuses on developing a thoughtful approach to tracking, helping you learn to see what’s often overlooked and piece together the quiet narratives around you.
