Online Classes
North Cascades Institute offered Online Classes for the first time in 2020 as a response to the pandemic and temporary closure of our Environmental Learning Center and in-person programs. We figured it would be a temporary fix, a way to keep offering engaging educational experiences and to stay in touch with our learning community while we all stay-at-home. But based on positive feedback from community and customers, we will continue to offer Online Courses in 2021 and beyond!
Our Online Classes feature regional experts, artists, writers and top-notch educators sharing their skills and passions over Zoom. Subjects include birds, geology, watercolors, wildlife, digital photography, poetry and environmental issues. Some classes are presentations on a topic with time for Q&A and discussion, while others are more hands-on and interactive. They are offered on weekdays in the evening and tuition is kept as low as possible to encourage as much access as possible. Scholarships may be available too!
If you can't make the specific date or time of a class you want to take, you can still register and we will send you a link to view the program on your own time! All registrants will have access to the class recording for a limited time to re-watch too.
Registration is offered online or by phone. For assistance, feel free to contact us.
