Explore the living science of the Salish Sea aboard the Snow Goose, a spacious 65-foot research vessel. This hands-on, one-day field class invites curious learners to take a closer look at estuarine systems and the ever-changing relationship between freshwater and saltwater.

As we travel to several study locations, participants will work in small groups to collect real-time data using scientific tools commonly used by marine researchers. Through rotating stations focused on plankton, water quality, dissolved oxygen, and watersheds, we’ll observe how rivers and creeks shape the health and character of the Salish Sea.
