The perfect place to enjoy nature with small children! My friend and I took our 1- and 2-year olds here and enjoyed hiking and exploring North Cascades knowing we would come back to the laid-back comfort of our lodge rooms and the delicious meals. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. A very affordable option with all that is included: super-clean lodge room, all meals, coffee and tea, well maintained hiking trails around the compound, lake access, and amazing environmental programs led by their staff. I have enjoyed many adult learning weekends over the years: corvids, wolverines, glaciers, watercolor painting, so many! Now, I am a Base Camp fan, with some activities and hikes, then coming back to gourmet meals and a comfortable, elegant, simple room.
