Parks Climate Challenge Part 2 : Washington DC

In September, Parks Climate Challenge students traveled to Washington DC and presented the information they had learned in their field studies in the North Cascades to decision-makers.

The students met with staff from NOAA, USFS, NPS, EPA, USGS and NASA to learn more about what those agencies are doing to respond to climate change and national parks. In turn they presented their views and ideas on climate change solutions and youth engagement to various audiences, including Deputy Secretary of the Interior Bob Stanton and his staff.
