Girl Climber Vertical Poster.jpg

“I’m really proud of my career so far, but if you want to call yourself a successful all-around climber, you’ve got to be up on El Cap.”

So says elite climber Emily Harrington, who doesn’t just want to climb Yosemite’s imposing El Capitan; she wants to climb one of its more daunting routes, Golden Gate, and she wants to do it in a single day. While impossible for most people, Harrington has summited Everest and is a competitive climber with a number of championship climbs under her belt. In other words, she’s a climber to be reckoned with. This is a documentary in the same vein as Pickford favorite Free Solo (indeed, Alex Honnold makes an appearance in the film) rich with humanity and nail-biting action.

Directed by: Jon Glassberg
Produced by: Tyler Young, Philipp Manderla
Cast: Emily Harrington, Adrian Ballinger, Alex Honnold
