The Youth Ambassadors program offers its participants a wide variety of experiences including plenty of outdoor adventures, personal development opportunities, leadership skills, education planning assistance, and a place to meet like-minded students interested in the environment.

  • Free to high school students
  • No equipment needed
  • No experience necessary
  • Transportation provided
  • Gain college access support

  • $200 stipend received at the end of the program

Youth Ambassadors meet twice a month - once for an outdoor excursion into nearby public lands or to visit local colleges and universities on Saturday and once after school for a workshop focusing on college access skills Wednesday evening.

This is a free, school-year program that engages students from Skagit county in outdoor adventures, leadership development, service work, and college preparedness training. You do not need any previous experience or special equipment to take part in this program.

This program is supported by the Washington Campus Compact "College Access Corps” grant, funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
