Youth Ambassadors

College Prep, Outdoor Adventure, Community Service and Leadership Development

Do you want more opportunities to adventure outside? Do you want to develop leadership skills?

The Youth Ambassadors program is an opportunity to explore outside, further leadership skills, receive college planning assistance, and meet like-minded students interested in the environment.

  • Free to high school students
  • No equipment needed
  • No experience necessary
  • Transportation provided
  • Gain college access support
  • Take part in environmental stewardship opportunities

Youth Ambassadors meet as a group twice a month - once for an excursion into nearby public lands or to visit local colleges and universities on the weekend and once after school for a workshop focusing on college access skills.

This is a free, school-year program that engages students from Skagit and Whatcom counties in outdoor adventures, leadership development, service work, and college preparedness training. Due to the success of our pilot program we are expanding and doubling the number of students admitted!

The application process for 2018 is closed. Thanks to everyone who applied!

This program is supported by the Washington Campus Compact "College Access Corps” grant, funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
