Did you know that many of our corvid species are among the most intelligent species on the planet? Crows, ravens, nutcrackers and jays been known to play, mourn the dead, recognize human faces, and detect patterns of behavior in other species.

Join Dr. Kaeli Swift for a weekend of exploring the curious world of Washington's corvids. Through field demonstrations, short lectures, and excursions through the beautiful Methow Valley, we will learn about the crows, ravens, jays and nutcrackers that share our spaces and what makes them special.

The course will cover a broad range of topics including identification, behavior, mythology and conservation, and promises to both answer your burning corvid question and ignite new ones.
