Coronavirus Safety Precautions

North Cascades Institute continues to monitor the evolving response and guidance from state and national officials regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our staff, guests and community.  When we re-open Spring 2021, there will be several modifications to Environmental Learning Center operations that will enhance everyone's safety in a positive way.

  • Our staff are checked each day for temperature and symptoms
  • All frequently touched surfaces are disinfected multiple times a day
  • Masks, physical distancing, and hand washing will be required during everyone's stay
  • All meals will be served as take-out, with no dining hall service
  • All rooms will be private or limited to household groups currently living together
  • There is limited access to campus facilities including dining hall, library and lab room, and voyages in the big canoe are not currently being offered
  • All activities will be self-guided and held outside
  • Bathrooms are limited to one person or one household group at a time

These modifications are fluid and evolving in concert with the changing guidelines and rules as outlined by the Governor's office. Feel free to call us with any questions: (360) 854-2599.
