Coronavirus Safety Precautions

North Cascades Institute is committed to the safety of our staff, guests and community. Since 2020, we have proceeded with an abundance of caution, aligning our COVID-19 policies and procedures with CDC guidance and federal and state regulations.

Recently, the risks of severe disease, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19 have been greatly reduced because of increased vaccination levels and population immunity. Our primary partners Seattle City Light and National Park Service do not mandate vaccinations for the general public and we are following suit. This means that we are no longer requiring vaccinations for participants in our programs. We are continuing to require vaccinations for all our staff and volunteers.

All participants must sign the Institute's COVID-19 consent and release form. By signing this release they are claiming that they or any member of their household are not experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19. If a participant develops symptoms during their program, they will be asked to immediately leave the program.

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has had COVID-19, please contact us to cancel your registration for a full refund.

These modifications are fluid and evolving in concert with the changing guidelines and rules.Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to move through this together.  Feel free to call us with any questions: (360) 854-2599.
