The third annual Environmental Equity Weekend is an opportunity for historically underrepresented groups to enjoy and celebrate their public lands. The goals of this program are breaking down access barriers, increasing representation, and providing a fun educational experience in the North Cascades National Park.

Join us at the North Cascades Environmental Learning  Center, located 3 hours from Seattle and 2 hours from Bellingham, in North Cascades National Park.

Base Camp
The Environmental Learning Center offers European-style lodges, with double, triple, and quad occupancy rooms. Each room comes with two upscale bunk beds, safe, closet, and desk. Linens (pillow, sheets, blanket and towels) are supplied.

Throughout your stay, you will have access to our library, bookstore, classrooms with audio and AV equipment, wifi throughout campus, and hiking trails. Experienced staff naturalists will serve as teaching guides, providing informal natural history education.

The kitchen staff prepares meals that showcase the fresh and flavorful foods of the Skagit River Valley. Three superb meals a day, served buffet-style in the historic lakeside Salmonberry Dining Hall.

Transportation, lodging, meals, and educational activities are provided at no cost to participants through a partnership between Latino Outdoors, Outdoor Asian, Outdoor Afro, InterIM Program Wild, and the Duwamish River CleanUp Commission.
