Christian Martin is a freelance writer whose stories have been published in a broad range of periodicals including The Georgia Review, Sierra Magazine, Cascadia Weekly, Crosscut, Anchorage Press and ISLE: Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment. Martin specializes in outdoor writing with a focus on natural history, environmental issues, adventure travel and nature literature. One of his ongoing projects is interviewing leading western authors such as Barry Lopez, Gretel Ehrlich, Tom Robbins, Terry Tempest Williams, Robert Michael Pyle and Sherman Alexie. He also serves as communications coordinator for the North Cascades Institute. Born and raised in the Seattle area, Martin has called Bellingham home for the past fifteen years.
