Stewards-316x211 connecting people to public lands through service and stewardship

The North Cascades Stewards program focuses on essential restoration work on local public lands while providing enriching educational opportunities.

Planting, weeding, seed collection and nursery projects will get North Cascades Stewards involved with growing native plants full circle. Along the way, you will learn about plant identification, ecology and gardening with some of the best in the field.

For those interested in recreation, we have more trail and backcountry projects than you can shake a Pulaski at. We have adopted Anderson-Watson Lakes trail in partnership with Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and we're working on needed trail maintenance and backcountry camp cleanup.

Free training is provided on site by our project leaders, so bring your gloves, your camera and your enthusiasm and feel great about giving back to our public lands.

All North Cascades Stewards must submit an application and release form prior to event (download available in sidebar). For more information or to get on our mailing list for future North Cascades Stewards activities, please contact Matt Kraska,
Stewardship Specialist, at (206) 526-2599 or matt_kraska@ncascades.org.
