These tours offer lunch at the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center and an exploration of famous Diablo Lake by boat. Learn about the natural and cultural history of the area, view glacier-clad peaks and tree-topped islands, hear stories about the Skagit River Hydroelectric Project and enjoy the deep-blue waters of glacier-fed Diablo Lake.
Seattle City Light has been offering these tours since 1928, bringing people to this inspiring landscape and showing them the wonders of hydroelectricity. Come take part in this historic experience, learning for yourself how this rugged landscape has made these stories so interesting.
Leaving from the Learning Center Thursdays through Mondays July 4 - September 9; check-in varies is at 10:30 am at the Learning Center. Be sure to read your registration letter or talk with our friendly registration staff for details.
