Girls on Ice Small | Large
Girls on Ice is a unique eleven-day leadership program for teenage girls that combines leadership, mountaineering and science. The program takes place in the summertime and is open to girls 15-18 years old who have shown a keen interest in science and the outdoors. Girls on Ice provides a rare opportunity for young women to feel at home in the wilderness while observing the natural world through the unique lens of science under the guidance of professional female glaciologists and mountaineers.
Beginning in 2009, North Cascades Institute will no longer be coordinating the Girls on Ice program. Program founder Erin Pettit will continue to lead Girls on Ice and we encourage you to visit girlsonice.org for the latest information on this exciting opportunity.
