Joseph & Connie Jones

Husband and wife team, Joseph Jones and Connie Hofferber Jones, live year around on 47-acre Canoe Island in the San Juan Islands where they direct Canoe Island French Camp.  Prior to taking the reins of this small, 50-camper French language and culture summer residential camp in 2005, they directed for 25 years a large suite of science camps for the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry ranging from Redwood National Park in California, to the John Day River, Central Oregon Cascades and the Oregon Coast, north to the San Juan Islands.  They are passionate about natural history and cultural history and have expertise in geology, biology, birding and cultural anthropology.
