Bill Gaines

Bill is retired from a career with the Forest Service where he most recently served as Forest Wildlife Ecologist. His professional experience includes nearly 30 years of forest management on the National Forests of eastern Washington. For the past 15 years, Bill played leadership roles in applying science to address complex conservation issues with implications at regional and national scales, including: forest restoration, species recovery, biodiversity assessments, wildlife habitat connectivity, and climate change. Bill has a Ph.D. in Wildlife Science from the University of Washington and serves on the Board of Directors for the Wenatchee River Institute.
